Introducing “The VELUX Skylight System”
Manufacturers rarely make price-conscious product changes that actually help their customers. But I am here to tell you; VELUX did it. As of April 7th, most of the standard skylights include white solar-powered room-darkening blinds, and prices were slashed!
Throughout the years, the majority of Sun4Light customers have opted to add solar-powered room-darkening blinds to their skylights during installation and replacement of the units. The sticker shock of $450-$490 has been tough for customers to swallow. But being able to stop heat gain/loss or control lot is unsurpassed by the blinds and well worth the money.
After the pandemic, VELUX conducted a study across the US on the interest of skylight blinds and found 90% of people would add them to their skylights if given the opportunity. So, VELUX stepped up to the plate and gave the “people” what they wanted with the new VELUX “Skylight System”. With the exception of a few very narrow and super large standard skylights, all VELUX units now include white solar-powered room-darkening blinds with a handheld remote and best of all, the average cost of the blinds is about $200. Check out the following video to learn more about the functionality of the blinds.
